In Hanoi, on December 6th 2017, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) along with Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) announced 100 sustainable enterprises in Viet Nam 2017.
It is the second consecutive year, VCCI in coordination with Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam General Confederation of Labour,… launched assessment and announcement programme for sustainable companies in Viet Nam.
From 500 applications in “2017 Evaluation and ranking for sustainable enterprises in Vietnam”, 100 typified companies were selected to be the most sustainable business in Vietnam in 2017, including Tin Nghia Corporation.
According to the organizers, the criterion this year was adjusted to more accurately measure to the level of sustainable development of enterprises, 134 criteria shortened from 151 criteria; focusing on socio-economic and environmental aspects. Moreover, the enterprises were encouraged and facilitated by online registration software system.
In the coming time, not only new contents such as women’s empowerment, 4.0 revolution, etc, but also, other contents and indexes based on reality will be added to the criteria set that meets enterprises ’capabilities, including small, medium, even super small ones.
Delivering speech at the ceremony, Mr. Vu Tien Loc – President of VCCI said that this year’s ranking not only recognized names honored in 2016 but also appeared new faces, representative for private sector; this is evidence for the effort to create a sound environment for the achievement of 17 SDGs in Vietnam.
