In the morning of April 2, 2016 at the Ministry of Defense's office in Ha noi, the Ministry of Science and Technology held a ceremony to present the National Quality Award and the International Asia-Pacific Quality Award for 2016 where the Deputy Prime Minister - Vu Duc Dam addressed the event.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented 15 National Quality Gold Awards and 62 Silver Awards to business enterprises together with 3 businesses to receive the 2016 Asia-Pacific International Quality Award. Tin Nghia Corporation and Tin Nghia Petroleum Joint Stock Company were honored to receive the Silver Award for the 2016 National Quality.

According to Deputy Minister of Science & Technology - Tran Viet Thanh, the National Quality Award aimed to encourage Vietnamese enterprises to develop and apply management systems, models and tools to improve productivity and quality; develop necessary resources to raise the productivity and quality of products and goods; create changes in the productivity, quality of products and goods as well as the competitiveness of enterprises, thereby making positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the country. Over the past 20 years, the country has recorded nearly 1,700 enterprises winning the National Quality Awards and 40 enterprises winning the Asia-Pacific International Quality Award.
